General Summary:

The primary purpose for this position is to provide excellent customer service by troubleshooting, resolving and assisting customers with issues that are more technical in nature in a professional and timely manner. This position also ensures phones are equipped with updated software prior to sale and maintains accurate inventory records.

This position consists of a 40-hour workweek which includes a Saturday rotation. The business office is opened 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday's, may be required to work overtime occasionally.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Promotes and sells products/services to new and existing customers using the sales standards established by the Sales Trainer.
  • Provides excellent customer service by troubleshooting, resolving and assisting customers with a wide array of service and billing inquiries and issues that are more technical in nature in a professional, courteous and timely manner. 
  • Stays abreast of new cellular equipment and software and sends golden unit test list to wireless device specialist within seven to ten days.
  • Ensures warranty phones are moved correctly in inventory and returned in adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Keeps accurate inventory records and monthly reconciliation.
  • Acquires and maintains Apple Certification as required by department manager.
  • Maintains a clean and well-organized shop area.
  • Attends conference calls.
  • Commits to performing job tasks in a manner that ensures a safe work environment.
  • Willingly and cooperatively performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three months related experience and/or training.
  • Must maintain a good driving record and a valid driver license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic electronics.
  • Ability to listen/comprehend and evaluate customer's cellular problems and make sound decisions using information at hand in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Knowledge of company products/services, policies and procedures.
  • Good listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in operating a personal computer and software applications pertaining to job function.
  • Skill in prioritizing, completing multiple tasks, identifying problems and finding resolutions.
  • Ability to work independently, analyze technical data and make sound decisions using information at hand.
  • Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing technical environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, perform under stress and achieve optimum results.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines in accordance with company policy.
  • Ability to read and interpret various formats of English language instruction.
  • Ability to demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.
  • Ability to effectively function as a team player and project a positive attitude.
  • Able and willing to continue technical skill development by attending training away from home for an extended time frame.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity including close vision.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, reach over your head and work in a confined area.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
